Successful Sea Trial
June 2007Trollhättan June 27, 2007
In June Loxystem AB of Sweden successfully conducted the first test on their Remote Automatic Twistlock (RAT) at sea.
The containers were secured on deck of a DFDS Lys-Line ship travelling on the Skagerack and were discharged in the port of Lysekil on June 8.
After the successful completion of the sea-trial Dag Tryggö, Managing Director of Loxystem, declared: - The locks worked perfectly and up to expectations!
At the arrival in the Port of Lysekil the Rats, controlled from a portable control unit, were used to unload two containers in tandem and then unlocked at the quay before the top container was sat down next to the other.
Exhibition launch
Loxystem AB of Sweden launched their new Remote Automatic Twistlock (RAT) System TOC2007 Europe in Istanbul. The twistlocks are operated by remote control resulting in improved safety and faster unloading. The system’s built in safety features make vertical tandem lifts of multiple containers a real possibility. The concept raised great interest among visitors, delegates and fellow exhibitors alike.
